Workforce Ministries was started in 2005.
It all began when a group of regular folks felt inspired by God to encourage believers in their workplace. A few “chance” encounters and other uniquely God-inspired connections later, and Workforce Ministries was born.
Our Purposeful Leadership Speaker Series commenced with Dr. Henry Blackaby, our first speaker, at a breakfast held at Reston Bible Church. Dr. Blackaby is most notably known as the author of Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God which has sold 7 million copies and has been translated into over 45 languages.
Since our initial event we are privileged to have hosted over 40 speakers and 4,000 guests.
Our Purposeful Leadership Speaker Series have featured appearances by many of the world’s most influential policy-makers, spiritual, and business leaders. Our speakers have included national and international business owners and senior leaders, politicians, senior government officials, evangelists, philanthropists, journalists, actors, film producers, and collegiate and professional sport chaplains and coaches. Each speaker has shared a unique perspective on what it means to live out his or her faith at work and in their personal life at home and within their respective community.
